LATEST UPDATE: September, 2k7: HAPPY 10th ANNIVERSARY, FF7!  I wish I had more content to put up to commemorate this, but sadly, I do not.  However, I put up a link to FF7: Voices of the Lifestream, a massive soundtrack remix product by the fine folks over at ocr over in the Downloads section.  Plus a few other small things =)

What else has happened recently:

August 4th-6th, 2k7: Very SMALL update.  Been patching up little bugs and problems on individual pages, and spruced up the New/Continue page.  The Downloads section's been getting a little bloated, so I re-arranged a few things, shrank the text and added its own little navigation menu.  I may also add a few new mods in the future. 

I also added to, and clarified, the Fanfic section's submission guidelines.  I don't want anyone to feel bad, but, I've been getting non-english people putting their fic through babblefish (or another online translator) and sending it to me... That doesn't work =(

Addendum:  Added Barret to the Characters section, and added a bunch more Sightings!

March 26th... 2k7.  Okay, been a year, and then some.  I suck.  And all I have to show for it is an addition to the Download section.  Dunno if I'm EVER gonna finish that blasted story walkthrough... maybe I'll have it up in time for the remake-that-will-never happen =P

March 03 2k6: A little less time between updates ;)  Got a bunch of Part 14 goin', some more Sightings, and I finally have an entry up (notice the singular usage) in the Character's section.  Got a couple new Downloads available, aaand a few more chapters of my fanfic (Redux, Remix, and Revenge) has been posted in the appropriate area, as well =)

Also noticed that I neglected to link to the FAQ (which I've updated) on the navigation menu, as well as the fact that the Community section is/was really rather useless, so, I've amended this (ie, it's now gone =P) =) Any semi-important information that was in the Community section can now be found on my Contact page =)

December 7th, 2k5:  Wow, 5 months exactly.  Anyway, Part 13 is done!  Got a couple new things in the Downloads section (Including a fixed version of the JENOVA editor which now edits stats properly =D), and fixed typos in the Timeline. Also a couple new Sightings.  Not a huge update, but, mweh.

July 7th, 2k5:  FF7's been a pain in the ass lately, so the story-walkthru is on hold until I can get the game working perfectly.  In the meantime, I've added a couple Fanfics, updated the Strange and Unusual (Shoulda been in the last update), Added a couple links, and spiced up the Download section with pictures (well, only a few).  

In site-related news, I'm working very, very, very slowly on the "Characters" section.  I've had that dead link on the main page for months, it's about time I did something with it =P And oh yeah, Honeylynx sent me a screenshot of FF9 dealing with Cloud; I put it up in the Sightings section along with some Cloud/Aeris pics from FFT ^_^

Feb 25th, 2k5: Ok, server went down, so I've had to re-upload everything.  But, as long as I was doing that ANYWAY, I decided to tweak the site a bit.  Nothing major; just cleaned up the code in the earlier parts of the story walkthru.  I also added a new FANFIC or two, and a bunch more DOWNLOADS!  Also in the downloads section you'll find links to places where you can get your grubby paws on the actual fmvs from the game; I cannot host them here due to bandwidth restrictions.  Speaking OF links, I redid the whole LINKS page, as well.  And I added another item to the fun page: The ff7 timeline!

SITE HISTORY:

2K4-2k5: Work on site began to slow down, but regardless, it was overhauled again, particularly the main page. Notable events: lots more mods, thanks to people finally cracking FF7's code and file structures. The Download section is really the only one getting my attention these days. Meanwhile, people kept plagiarizing the site, but they were dealt with.  Various computer problems kept me from updating, but that all eventually passed.  All in all, only a few updates in teh span of over a year.  Pretty sad, huh?

Mid 2k2-2k4: Part 12 added.  Fanarts, fanfics, and downloads all added periodically.  5th anniversary of site come and gone /=.

Later 2k1/early 2k2: Moved site to ff7-universe.com.  Started doing more updates, and amid a series of "Steele is a retard"-itis, i still managed to get things done.

8/30/Y2K1; After being screwed over by FortuneCity (They took down their file manager and now I can't even FTP in, AND they went from 100 megs of space and 10 g transfer to 50 megs of space and 500 megs transfer...), I decided to have my site hosted elsewhere.  While looking for a suitable host, I revamped the design of the site, making it much easier to navigate and more streamlined.

Fall Y2k1: I am unable to update the site @ fortunecity.com. They took down their file-manager, and even FTP won't work...

Summer of Y2k1: Probably like, 3 updates. Site became a source of stress, so I left it alone for a while...

January Y2K1-April Y2K1: Updates become strange, as I need to spend more time compiling each update, but each update is several parts. Opened Fan art and fanfiction sections...

September 2000-December 2000: Updates were sporadic, but I redesign the frontpage again anyway, and add a FAQ, Guestbook, and all sorts of other useless crap...

July 2000: Hoping to be done with the site before I enter school again, I update every day for a while... that lasts a week, cuz I decide to get a "life" (?)

May 2000: I come across this fanfic stuff, starting with "Oh No, Not Another Final Fantasy Webpage!". I spend a while reading fanfics, then remember that I have a site to work on...

March 2000: I freshen things up by opening up FF7 UNIVERSE v. 2.0 With all the HTML knowledge I've gained through a couple years of web experience, I tackle FF7U head-on with renewed vigor...

January 2000: I start updating everyday... then run out of screenshots. Site remains docile until...

November 1999: I celebrate my birthday by getting a better graphics card, and use it to make better screen shots.

September 1999: Comp get infected with a virus, and I lose all my files. just as well, none of them were doing me any good!

June 1999: After making a million screenshots, I decide to use them to make a website...
