FINAL FANTASY 7: Redux, Remix, and Revenge

Everyone, at some point in their lives, sits back and thinks "What would I do if I could do it all over again?"  Sometimes "it" is asking out that one person they never thought liked them back.  Or taking that job.  Or maybe re-living their entire lives.  Oftentimes, people look back and answer in the affirmative, saying, "Yes, I would do things different.  I would ask out that girl; I would have moved to take that job;  I would have joined the baseball team in high school..."

What people do not realize is that these choices would have far-reaching repercussions.  The girl may have wound up breaking your heart and leaving you more of a shell of a person than you already are; That high-paying job may have drained you of your energy and soul.  Being more active in school may have caused you to get an injury which affected the rest of your life.  And besides, going back in time, or re-living your life, is impossible, so there's no harm in pondering over wistful fantasy.

But imagine if you actually were thrust into such a situation.  You suddenly realize you can use your knowledge of how things turn out for both the greater good, and personal gain.  But before you can fully comprehend your power to shape events, just by knowing how things would turn out, reality throws you a curve ball.  Through no fault of your own, events themselves change, thrusting you back into the unsure confusion that surrounds us all in our daily lives.  People you thought would dead are alive; People once thought to be charismatic are withdrawn; the strong are weak.  From personal to global, change is everywhere, and catastrophic.

In Final Fantasy 7, our heroes had to stop the villain Sephiroth from destroying the world.  But now, as the adventure begins anew, little do they realize that the fate of all reality is at stake...
