Right-click the links and select "save as" to save these to your comp. Everything is in a ZIP or RAR file, so make sure you have a utility like WinZip so that you may view/use the files.
NOTE: I didn't get people's permission on some of these, but I'm working on it. If you made one of these items and you do not want me distributing them, please E-mail me (see "contact" page for details)
ALSO, I did not make/alter most of these. I take no credit for them nor do I take any responsibility. Credit has been given when available.  Download at your own risk (I've used these and they work fine on MY computer, but I cannot say how they will effect yours.) See the README files in each zip for more info once you've downloaded them.

Another note: PLEASE do not direct-link video files.

*PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT*: If you come across the "Animevamp 1.4 XP patch" (also known as "the xp patch"), do NOT install it!  All it is is the 1.02 patch and qhimm's chocobo patch, taken without permission and relabeled by animevamp as their own creation (I've heard they even changed a few bytes of code to disguise the outright theft). This, based only on principle, is bad enough, but the xp patch also REPLACES one of your Windows SYSTEM FILES (In all reality, it's just the one used for midi playback and is supposed to make the game sound better; in many cases it makes midi playback worse though).  However, it does this without the end-user's permission or knowledge, and I'm sure it's a breach of the Windows end-user-license agreement as well.  The only programs that I know of that try to alter windows files are viruses.  (I'm not saying that the xp patch IS a virus, but only in that it acts as underhanded as one) So PLEASE do not install this patch.  And spread the word.

PATCHES-

1.02 Patch: Makes FF7 play nice with your modern ATI or nVidia card and drivers. (2.27 MB) Readme

Chocobo Racing patch:  Solves the "Crashes during the chocobo races" error in WinXp.  By JEDWIN + QHIMM. (23kb)

Upside-down movies patch: Getting upside-down movies in the game or when playing them in winamp?  Here's the solution.  Note: some codec packs don't like this fix.  You may need to uninstall some codecs after you install this if you run into serious problems with your computer. (706 kb)

FF7-UNIVERSE PATCH PACK: All three of the above files in one handy ZIP ^_^.  Compiled by EmperorSteele (me!), all patches by their respective creators.  (3.03 mb) Readme

Laptop Keypad patch: This patch, from Eidos, will let you play the game with a laptop, or rather, without a numpad on your keyboard. Readme

Mini Games Patcher: This command-line utility will slow down the Bike and Snowboard minigames, as well as stabilize the snowboard game (ie, make it less prone to crashes).  READ THE README for instructions on proper use!  You may eff up your FF7 if you don't! (16k RAR archive) By DZIUGO.  Readme.  (Note: if the link does not work, copy and paste this into your browser and select "save as": http://www.ff7-universe.com/Downloads/mgp.rar )

YAMP: "Yet Another Multi-Patcher" This is a program needed to install several other smaller patches, which are detailed below.  Put YAMP into your main ff7 folder; Extract the contents of the RAR files below into *your ff7 directory*\patches, then run YAMP.  Note: you do NOT need to use all these patches, just the ones you want.  By the ever-awesome DZIUGO!  Readme.
- Battle-swirl fix: Fixes crash issues related to the battle swirl <-- IMPORTANT!
- Lucky Tifa: Tifa's limit will now produce ONLY "Yeah!"s.... cheater.
- Slot control: For controlling Cait Sith's and the Battle Arena's slots.... cheater!

HIGH-RESOLUTION patch!  This patch/mod, by The SaiNt, lets you play FF7 at a screen resolution 1280 x 960, enables Anti-Alising, and... yeah.  Awesome!  Please also note that this mod is in BETA and has a couple... quirks and bugs. If you need technical assistance with this patch, post on the gameFAQS forums or shoot me off an e-mail. Readme. NOTE: AVG Anti-virus currently detects this patch as a "Trojan Horse Generic5.MBY".  It seems to be isolated to AVG's heuristics and no other anti-virus program thinks this is a virus, and not even AVG has file info for a "THG5".  This is believed to be a "False Positive".  However, in the interest of safety, I have re-uploaded the file and issued this notice.  Download and use at your own risk (though in my opinion, there is no risk)!

For more patches, mods, and troubleshooting, you can hit up qhimm's forums HERE. (Note: The denizens of the qhimm forums are really spiteful towards ignorant, illiterate n00bs who act like their age and IQ are the same number, so, if you might fall under that category... I suggest not actually posting.  Just browse for the info you need =) )

MEDIA-

FF7: Voices of the Lifestream: This massive, 4-disc album from OCRemix features over 40 tracks of remixed music from FF7.  Highly recommended! Link goes to torrent.  To Download individual songs or discs, go here (Link goes off-site).  Happy 10th anniversary, FF7! NEW!

FF7 MIDI COLLECTION: ALL the midi's extracted straight from the game; even if some of them weren't used! (405K) Readme

FF7 TEXT VIEWER: Using the PLAYSTATION disks, you can view all the text from FF7. =) (~38K) by CzarDragon. Readme

MOVIES: (note: not fmvs from the game)

"How to beat Emerald Weapon in 1 minute, 18 seconds": Yeah, you read that right.  The video is in Japanese, so here's the breakdown: Give Barret 8 Counter+mime combos, and have his "Angermax" limit charged.  When you get into battle, have Cloud feed him two Hero Drinks.  Have Barret perform his limit, then wait for Emmy to attack him.  Hilarity ensues =P

FF7 + High end video card = WARP SPEED!  With a high end video card and new drivers, the mini games (such as the bike one) go REALLY fast.  The bike game was over in 26 seconds...  and that was WITH the web-camera lagging up my system! (Note, crappy quality, no sound)  Note that there's a new patch to fix this! =D

FF7 TV Commercials: "If he fails, you can always hit the reset button!"  and "The most anticipated epic adventure of the year, will NEVER be coming to a theater near you!"

FUN STUFF!-

NOTE: Some of these may require Ficedula's LGP tools, or the Cetra patch, which in turn require ficedula.dll.  Find these files (And lots more fun stuff!) at Ficedula's site, HERE.  Also, unless otherwise noted, everything listed here applies to the US PC version only.  Some may or may not work with the international version, and DEFINITELY won't work on your playstation =P

HAND PATCH:  Tired of those stubby blocks that the field models have that don't even resemble hands?  This patch fixes that!  A little buggy due to the game's animations, but nothing too serious. This requires Ficedula's LGP tools. (503KB)  Created by Srethron Askvelhtnod.  ReadmeScreenshot

HIGH-RES CLOUD: The better-looking Cloud model from the final battle replaces your normal battle Cloud!  Studs on his armor, detail on his belt, darker uniform, more detailed face, etc.  Looks great! FYI: it's a .exe file in the zip, but don't worry, it's not a virus or nuttin =P Requires Ficadula.dll (191kb) by Dreakon. Readme; Screenshot

THE SEPHIROTH PATCH: Use this to play as Sephiroth chasing the evil warrior Cloud around the world! It's kinda buggy and not 100% complete, but I couldn't find a more complete version. If there's one out there, lemme know! (~17 K)  Created by Teknoman Midnight. Readme

THE INVINCIBLE CLOUD SAVE GAME: Start the game with a completely pumped-up Cloud; 9999 hp, 999 mp, all stats are at 255, and you come with a butt-load of powerful, mastered materia, and more! It has its drawbacks, but it's a lot of fun using KotR on those first two guards! (~3K)  Created by Tony Nilsson. Readme

THE DATING GAME: A Save-file I made which contains the Tifa, Yuffie, and Barret (yes, BARRET) dates for the gold saucer near the end of disk one. (5kb) Readme

CHEATERS!-

SAVE-GAME EDITOR: This allows you to add Materia, items, etc to your inventory and edit your active-party's abilities. (~170 K)

FF7 TRAINER v.2.0: This allows you to edit how many HPs the monsters have, how much gil you have and the EXP/AP you get from every battle. Note: Incompatible with version 1.02 (~140 K) Readme

JENOVA (NEW VERSION): The ultimate save game editor!  Get ANY item, use ANY character, edit ANY characters attributes (even the "love points" for the Gold Saucer date!), add/edit chocobos and more!  Notes: STAT CHANGING now implemented, thanks to caitsith6502. Also, putting characters in your party who are not supposed to be (like Cid in early disk 1, Aeris in disk 2, Sephiroth most times) will result in a game crash or other weird errors =/  (~78K) By Qhimm, stats fix by caitsith6502.  Screenshot

COMPUTER STUFF-

By downloading all of these, you can have a complete FF7-themed desktop...

FF7 BITMAPS: Here's a collection of pictures from FF7PC. They're in BMP format, so Windows can use them for desktop pictures. (1.72MB) Readme

FF7 ICONS: A slew of FF7 Icon files. You need Win 98+ to view them correctly. (~36K)

CLOUD ANIMATED CURSOR: Just like it sounds like, an image of Cloud replaces your mouse (NOTE: You cannot just extract the file. You must put it into your SYSTEM folder and then go into your CONTROL PANEL and select him as your mouse.) (~11K)

DOCUMENTATION-

PLAY FMVS OFF YOUR HARD DRIVE: A little document I wrote up detailing how to run the movies off your hard drive instead of the CDs.  You'll still need the CDs to play, but this makes the game run smoother (ie, faster loading times, and characters react better in FMV backgrounds, etc).  (8kb) By Emperorsteele (me =P)
